I watch all the episodes of this series in one day, a few days ago.

Presented by the ever likable Baldrick, It was quite an eye opener.
- Ice ages happen approximately every 15000 years. The last one was 15000 years ago.
- A meteor striking the earth, in a similar size to the one that hit the siberian region of Tunguska (if a similar size meteor hit London it would completley wipe London off the map), happens approximatly every 100 years. The last one was 100 years ago.
- There are several supervolcano's dotted around the earth that could erupt at any moment. Some of them like the one in yellowstone are so big they cause "volcanic winters" when all the dust and debris spew up into the air and doesnt come down again, blocking out the sunlight for months on end
- One of th biggest dangers of man made CO2 production is that it will heat the sea up which will cause all the methane hydrate (methane is 20-25 times as potent as CO2 as a green house gas) locked away on the sea floor to be released, causing a cycle of run away global warming as the more methane is released the hotter the temp gets causing more methane release.
The thing that amazed me the most was that at the begining of the formation of the earth, earth was hit by another planet (Theia) which nearly desroyed earth and created the moon!
