I like the Strange Maps blog. I've always liked maps, especially unusual or fictional ones. This blog has some terrific examples.




This map superimposes the wanderings of Neil Armstrong & Buzz Aldrin onto a football pitch, showing that they didn't go very far at all.

I agree with you Lup. I remember being given a hardcover copy of "The Hobbit" as a kid and being entranced by the illustrated foldout map inside the cover. I studied it for hours. I can still see it in great detail in my memory.

I also remember loving an illustrated map that came with a copy of "Treasure Island."
